As a play therapist and family therapist, I discovered that teaching resources and tools were limited. I was forever creating some type of game or writing some type of story that hopefully would keep the child interested, be fun, and target specific problems that the child and family were struggling with.I went on to teach in the corporate world. Although, this audience was much older than the children I counseled, many were still struggling with unresolved issues from their childhood. Issues they were not even aware of yet were having negative impacts on their career. This was when I recognized that what I was teaching adults would be more beneficial if taught at a much earlier age. The right tools had to be created
